How to make an Outstanding Omelette Paratha

INGREDIENTS

  1. Wheat flour – 300 grams
  2. Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  3. Water
  4. Egg
  5. Chopped onions – to taste
  6. Green chili – to taste
  7. Coriander – to taste
  8. Salt – to taste
  9. Ghee

PREPARATION

  1. In a mixing bowl, add 300 grams wheat flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix well.
  2. Add water and bring the mixture together and knead into a smooth soft dough.
  3. Keep the dough aside for 10 to 20 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, add 1 egg, chopped onions, green chili, coriander, salt and mix it well.
  5. Take a medium size ball from the dough. (see video)
  6. Roll the ball into oval shape.
  7. Sprinkle some dry flour over this oval shape dough.
  8. Spread some ghee over it.
  9. Squeeze the dough from the center and put one part on top of other.
  10. Dip it in the dry flour and roll it to a disc.
  11. Heat the pan over medium heat and cook the paratha on both sides using the little oil.
  12. Open one layer and put the egg mixture.
  13. Cover it again with the layer of paratha.
  14. Cover the paratha and cook it for 1 -2 minutes from both sides.
  15. Gently press with the spatula from both sides to make sure paratha is all cooked from inside.
  16. Serve egg paratha with pickle, ketchup or green chutney.
